These Chocolate Peppermint Donuts are EPIC! Chocolatey, sweet, minty, and the perfect cake donut texture! Gluten-free + dairy-free too! Based off of one of @choosing_balance pumpkin donut recipes❤️ here’s all you have to do!
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees
- Combine 1 cup of almond flour Barney Butter almond flour
-1/4 cup cacao powder
-1 tsp baking powder,
-2 eggs, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
-1/4 tsp peppermint extract
-3 tsp maple syrup
-2 tbsp coconut sugar in a mixing bowl.
- Lightly grease a donut pan, and transfer batter to the pan, filling each donut about 3/4 full. It should make 7-8 donuts!
- Bake for 10 mins or until a knife comes out clean.
To make the icing, I combine about 1.5 cups of powdered sugar and 2 tsp of almond milk or any other milk until it forms a creamy icing!
Top the donuts with icing and crushed peppermint candies. ❤️
